Winter Classic 2017

Saturday, January 21st, Stjernen Hockey vs. Sparta Warriors

"Bitter" rivals, Stjernen from Fredrikstad and Sparta from Sarpsborg, finally clashed in the first big game of a week filled with hockey matches whilst being one of many events celebrating Fredrikstad turning 450 years in 2017.

The game itself was outside, which was fun in many ways, but also posed an odd photographic situation as the glass between the ice and the audience (thanks a million for no wrecked lenses ;D) would much more easily frost over, especially as it was cleaned several times throughout the game.

After about 2 hours and 15 minutes Sparta won 3 to none. Cue celebrations and loads of colorful fireworks.
